Origin of the barriques:
FALSE ACACIA: SOLID WOOD, LONG LASTING AND
ELASTIC OF UNMISTAKABLE YELLOW COLOUR, WITH
WELL-MARKED RINGS. ACACIA ORIGINALLY COME SFROM
NORTH AMERICA, MORE EXACTLY FROM VIRGINIA
AND IT WAS INTRODUCED IN EUROPE 400 YEARS AGO.
THIS PLANT LARGELY SPREAD THANKS TO ITS PIONEER
FEATURES AND A MASSIVE ROOT SYSTEM. THE WOOD
USED FOR THE BARRIQUES, BOUGHT DIRECTLY IN THE
FOREST, IS GRAIN-FELLED AND SEASONED FOR AT LEAST
36 MONTHS. ONLY ONE SPECIFIC TECHNIQUE IS USED
FOR THE STAVE BENDING, NAMELY THE STEAM BENDING.
THIS GARANTUEES THE PRESERVATION OF THE INTEGRAL
WOOD FEATURES AND THE ESSENCE’S AROMA.
